Casie (like “Casey at the Bat”)
Joined the 1C team in February 2020 as the Life Groups Pastor.  She grew up in New Lenox, Illinois and graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2008.  In 2013, she married her loving husband, Joe Darnell, which is what brought her to the Jacksonville area.  Together, they have two fun-loving kids; Camille and Mila. Casie developed a passion for Life Groups after seeing firsthand how it made such a powerful difference in her own life and relationship with Christ.  She said, “The decision to join a group was one of the best decisions of my life, and one I honestly made every excuse to avoid.  My life was forever changed, and I pray that this ministry will continue to bring about meaningful and life changing groups.”  In her spare time, Casie loves running, listening to music, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
