First Christian Church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel in our community, our country and overseas. The leadership of FCC has committed 10% of our weekly offering to provide financial support for this endeavor.

Salem4Youth Ranch was founded as a Christ centered institution. In 1896, the King family gave this hallowed ground to be used as a ministry to the needs of orphaned youth, serving them physically, educationally, and spiritually.

The founders believed and modeled that if Christ was the key – if Christ was the center of all things – then Salem4Youth Ranch would be able to serve and always meet the needs of the children placed in its care.

Salem4Youth Ranch continues to provide those beginning core values and foster those beliefs. Our mission statement: “Salem4Youth Ranch is to provide a safe and nurturing, Christ-centered, environment where young men between the ages of 12-17 can learn life skills that will better prepare them to function successfully in society. We minister to them on the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual level, with emphasis on the spiritual.”

Being “Christ centered” is the guiding principle as to how The Ranch is operated. As a staff and board we must never lose sight of that core principle. As the Apostle Peter learned when he stepped out of the boat and began to walk on the water (Matt 14), we must keep our eyes on Christ, or else we will sink.

Christ-centeredness is critical to The Ranch’s very existence. If Salem4Youth Ranch staff, supporters, or board members lose sight of a Christ-centered vision and Christ-centered practices then Salem4Youth Ranch will become ineffective, worldly, and will cease to exist.

Faith of a Child Ministries

Here at Faith of a Child Ministries, we know that the only way our world will change is through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe ministry shouldn't only be focused in our local churches and we need to share the gospel while providing for the needs of people.  We are a non-denominational group who will seek to share the love of Jesus, as well as the gospel message of hope, with the people in Honduras.  As our ministry grows, we will be providing other mission opportunities throughout North, South and Central America

What is Operation Christmas Child?

The Samaritan's Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.

Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind, has collected and delivered more than 220 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 170 countries and territories.

Beraca Foundation - Romania

Ruben and Karen Popet started Beraca Foundation in the beginning of 2000. They were given some land in Ruben’s hometown, Jdioara, Romania, where they built an orphanage to be a home for 20 children. Along with the orphanage, the Popets opened a free medical clinic, started a small farm and gave English lessons to people in Jdioara. Plus, they were part of the planting of a non-denominational church in the nearby town of Lugoj. Since 2000, other opportunities to serve the village of Jdioara as well as Romania have been started by the Popets. For more detailed information visit www.beracafoundation.weebly.com
