Legacy Christmas Party

This year we will meet at the Elks Club at 5:00 p.m., for a dinner buffet – choices include Fried Chicken and Roast Pork Loin.  Cost is $20/person.  Please make your reservation by December 2nd.    

Cards and Candy

Join us at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15th

Loretta Middleton will lead us in making our own greeting cards for Christmas.  There will be some Christmas Candy and a few other goodies to snack on.  Sign up by Nov. 11th.

Veteran Recognition Day

“In God We Trust” is the foundation that America was built on.  Thursday, November 7th we will recognize our Veterans who have served and defended our Freedom.  Our program begins at 10:00 a.m. with speakers that will include Steve Wheeler, Land of Lincoln Honor Flight;  Celia Edwards, Franklin Military Support Group; Jane Henry, Quilts of Valor; and Sangamon Valley Chord Company, an acappella men’s group.  Stay for lunch, homemade chicken and noodles and sides, by Bella Events.  Veterans eat for free – everyone else we ask a $10 donation.  Reservations must be in by Monday, November 4th.  Questions?  Contact Terri at 217-243-6445 or Terri@1C.Church

Live Strong and Love Well

8:30 Registration; 9:00 a.m. Program begins; 12:00 noon Lunch

Mark and Pam Fisher will provide our music, Todd and Deb Burris will be our speakers and we’ll have a visit with “Corrie Ten Boom” with Gayle Haas. Lunch will be catered by Bella Events.  Tickets are available August 18th, $15 each, a portion to be donated to the Honor Flights.  Save the date on your calendar and bring a friend – we’re looking forward to having a great morning!
