LIFE TO BETTER TOGETHER
God never meant for us to do life alone. We all need people in our corner – friends who know us, show up for us, and walk with us through it all. Real growth rarely happens in isolation. God uses people to shape people. When we live connected, we’re challenged to grow, supported when we stumble, comforted in loss, and simply happier.
Groups at 1C are where connection and growth happen. It’s where friendships are made, life change happens, and God shows up in a real way. No matter where you are in your story, you were made to live it in community.
Our Life Groups are the heart of 1C. It’s where we grow and live out the mission of “Connecting Unconnected People to Jesus Christ” (Matthew 28:19-20). We offer a variety of group options, days and times to help you find what works best for you and your schedule.

JOIN A LIFE GROUP
Life Groups are where real connection happens. They are how we grow in our faith, build friendships, and do life together outside of Sunday services.
If you are interested in joining a Life Group, the first step is Rooted.
Rooted is the on ramp into Life Groups at 1C. It is a 10 week experience designed to help you connect with God, the church, and others in a deeper way. During Rooted, you will build relationships and grow spiritually alongside others who are taking the same step.
Rooted happens two times each year:
January
September
Once you complete Rooted, you will be placed into a Life Group so you can continue growing in community.
If you are ready to take your next step, sign up for the next Rooted session.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY SHOULD I JOIN A GROUP?
No matter where we are in life, we all need meaningful relationships—people we can have fun with, feel safe with, and grow alongside. Those kinds of relationships can be hard to find, but joining a group is a great way to build community and learn to live like Jesus.
WHERE TO GROUPS MEET?
Most groups meet at the church in our Life Group Rooms. These spaces are designed to feel like a living room so you can feel comfortable, at home, and ready to connect and grow together. Some groups choose to meet off campus, and that is great too.
WHAT HAPPENS AT A TYPICAL GROUP MEETING?
Every group looks a little different, but they all share the same core elements: connection, learning, and application around real-life topics.
Groups are focused on encouraging authentic community and helping people live out what they believe. And because life is better with laughter, having fun together is just as important.

DO I HAVE TO TALK, OR CAN I JUST LISTEN?
A group often becomes like family—sometimes you talk, sometimes you listen. No one is forced to speak or answer questions.
Everyone moves at a different pace, and that’s okay. To get the most out of the experience, we encourage sharing as you feel comfortable, knowing that discussion often leads to deeper connection.

ARE KIDS WELCOME OR IS CHILDCARE PROVIDED?
One benefit of Life Groups meeting at the church is our dedicated kids area. We offer free childcare from birth through fifth grade so you can feel confident your kids are safe, cared for, and having fun while you meet with your group.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND 1C TO JOIN A GROUP?
No. You don’t have to attend 1C to join a group.
Our hope is that everyone feels welcomed and supported. If your first connection with 1C is through a group, we’re glad you’re here.
